After an audit, the team suggested that the winery retrofitted one of its existing Carrier Chillers with a Multi stack MagLev Water Cooled Flooded Chiller.
After retrofitting the Chiller, the winery eliminated all oil from that system and greatly increased efficiencies both at full and part load.
Refrigeration can account for 50%-70% of winery electricity consumption, therefore improving the systems efficiency resulted in huge savings.
Additional savings have come from reduced service and repair needs since removing the old chiller whilst offering a low total cost of ownership.
After hearing about the results, several other wineries throughout the Hunter Valley wine region followed the same process for the same huge savings.
